Project manager

Sensonomic develops software services to solve one of our most pressing challenges: how to make global food production more sustainable. We are doing this to achieve resilient food systems; profitable production, and future-proof farming.

We are working with development agencies, international partners, and large commercial corporations. We are currently involved in exciting projects in Africa, Asia, and the South Pacific, and we have a research collaboration with the University of Oxford.

Our values are to be curious, constructive, and compelling. We are now hiring exceptional, new colleagues at our Oslo office.

Do you want to solve wicked problems?

We need to produce 70 % more food by 2050 without increasing resource input. New technology can solve parts of this difficult challenge, and through Sensonomic you will bring the latest in computational simulation to a market in serious need of what we are developing.

As Sensonomic’s new project lead you will not be short of challenges. You will be point-of-contact for existing clients as well as assist developers and management with documentation and presentations. We also hope you are confident with spreadsheets and project accounting.

Our working language is English and due to extensive contact with Norwegian authorities you will also have to be fluent in Norwegian. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus, as is an interest in and understanding of solving problems with technology. You will need to travel to meet with clients and partners, from time to time on relatively short notice. We want you to have deep knowledge about all our projects, and help extract vital information and lessons learned from every project – with the express goal of assisting and continuously improving product development.

As our new project lead you will be working with accomplished and talented developers who will build cutting-edge solutions for agriculture based on leading expertise in computational simulation, machine learning, earth observation and geospatial analysis. You will be at the centre of our small and ambitious company and, if you are the right candidate for the job, grow professionally with us.

You will enjoy a flexible work situation, competitive remuneration, and office space in a very attractive location in central Oslo. You will also be offered participation in the company’s option pool. We expect you to hold an advanced degree, and to have previous experience in project management.

The position will be reporting to the CEO.
