Plantation risk forecasting – Indonesia

Description

The vast forest fires in and around oil palm plantations in Indonesia in 2015 destroyed values of at least USD 16 billion. Productive plantations, infrastructure, and real estate were lost, and air traffic was halted in several countries in the region.

Sensonomic is developing a comprehensive risk monitoring and forecasting service. The service is expected to help large plantation owners to better manage risk, and to quickly implement prevention measures. Investors, managers and purchasers will be able to monitor risk factors and activities, thus securing their investments, land, and supply chain, respectively.
